The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian – Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, and Minotaurs, and Witches, and some pretty white boy that rides around on horses. Sounds magical.
On Video Tuesday:
The Great Debaters – An elite team of Master Debaters um… debate and stuff. If I remember right, this looked decent, but I don’t usually remember right.
Untraceable – Another crime suspense thriller that I’m not going to see.
Mad Money – Queen Latifah, Katie Holmes, and Diane Keaton steal a bunch of money set to be destroyed. Enter hijinks. Exit Luke.
Speed Racer – Say what you will about the Wachowski Brothers, they know how to make a visually pleasing movie. I might be excited about this if I had watched the cartoon as a child. Kids should like it. I think I’ll wait for DVD.
What Happens in Vegas – Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. If you watch this movie, I will personally come to your house, beat you unconscious, and steal your wallet, because you are obviously too stupid to manage your own money. I had some friends that PA’d for this movie. They wish they hadn’t. That’s saying something.
The Fall (Limited Release) – A trippy Independent flick brought to the US by Spike Jonze and David Fincher. Find a theater that’s playing it and watch this movie!
Surfwise (Limited Release) – A documentary about a Doctor that quit his job and took his family off the grid to teach strict moral codes while driving from surf spot to surf spot. Looks interesting
On Video Tuesday:
I’m Not There – Bob Dylan portrayed by various actors/actress (Cate Blanchett) in one movie. Sadly, this is the only thing worth your time this week.
Iron Man – Jon Favreau directs Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Is it wrong of me to hope Megan doesn’t really want to see this movie so I can see it this weekend while she’s out of town? I think I might be more excited for this one than Indiana Jones or Batman. Shocking, I know.
Made of Honor – Patrick Dempsey gets made the maid of honor after he made the mistake of being made the best friend of the girl by which he’d like to get made a man. Not to be confused with Maid in Manhattan, Maid to Order, or the thousands of other Maid variations found on IMDb
On Video Yesterday:
27 Dresses – Katherine Heigl has a lot of dresses. The End.
The Golden Compass – Nicole Kidman hangs out with a bunch of mythical creatures that hate Christianity.
How She Move – Some girl tries to dance her way out of the hood. I want to know if this ever happens in real life. Are there really underground clubs scattered across the US in which happy-go-lucky teens band together to battle with the power of dance? Seriously, I want to know.
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly – True story about a paralyzed editor who communicates by blinking. Supposed to be really powerful.
