In Theaters:
- Body of Lies – Ridley Scott directs Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe in a spy thriller. Should be pretty thrilling.
- City of Ember – An underground city ruled by Bill Murray is in danger. Looks about as strange and intriguing as Bill Murray.
- The Express – Another uplifting football movie. This one about the first black man to win the Heisman.
- Quarantine – I honestly thought this movie had already flopped in theaters and was coming out on video. The TV trailers make it look like a pay-per-view movie. Draw your own conclusions from that.
On Video:
- You Don’t Mess With the Zohan – Adam Sandler hasn’t made a great comedy since Happy Gilmore. This one’s probably about as decent as all the rest.
- The Happening – M. Night Shama-lama’s latest. I think he climaxed with Unbreakable, so that would probably make this his denouement.
- The Visitor – A professor comes home to find strangers living in his home. This one actually looked pretty good. It’s by the guy that did The Station Agent. Add it to the queue. Actually, add them both to the queue, and if anyone knows where I might have left my copy of The Station Agent, please let me know.
- Paranoid Park – High School crime drama done by the director of Good Will Hunting. Could be good. I’ll check it out and let you know.
